Yesterday I was supposed to wake up at 8:30am to go to Himeji, but I guess I was tired from all the walking and fresh air I got in Osaka. I woke up every half hour from 7am but my body was hearing nothing of getting up and out of the bed. I eventually managed to get up around 10:30 and get myself together. I left the apartment, with Rokudai-sensei's directions in hand, just after noon to catch the 12:21pm train to Himeji. At Himeji, I had a little chat with the cute women at the tourist booth. They pointed me in the direction of the bus stop and I walked over and waited on bus No. 37 departing at 1pm to the Himeji port where the immigration office is located. I had said before that Japanese people are on point with timing, well I was told it would take 20 minutes to get where I was going. I got off the bus at 1:20pm. By 1:50pm I was back on the bus back to Himeji with my re-entry permit affixed to my passport. I was expecting to fill out and application, and wait 3-5 weeks for the process to be complete. Ha! The office was small, with 2 staff persons working. I filled out a form, went across the way to another building to pay the fee and by the time I got back the permit was done and in my passport. I said to the man "it's done?! we're finished?!" He found my astonishment quite amusing. So I was quite content with the efficiency of this process. So 6, 000 yen later, I can travel in and out of Japan without a problem. My only complaint is that "foreign nationals who apply for entry into Japan will be required to be fingerprinted and photographed(facial photographs) by means of special devices, and then interviewed by immigration inspectors". This is their way to prevent or reduce the risk of terrorists....it's kinda funny though b/c from what I've heard majority of the crimes committed in Japan are by Japanese people. Anyhoo lol.
Today was a good day at work, I was sleepy and went right into my room for a nap when I got home. Three hours later, I got up and talked to K on the phone. Now I'm on skype 3-way DOC and Khaleelah as they talk foolishness in my ears hahahah! The people I know boy. We are talking about naming our possessions for example, DOC's macbook is named Girlfriend, he hasn't named his car, Khaleelah's bike is named Bike and her laptop is named Delroy (because he's a Dell) hahaha woooooooy! Goodnight ya'll!
