Conversation Piece

You know that feeling you experience when you know you have something to do, but you're just too lazy to do it and you keep procrastinating? No, I'm not talking about those dreaded 2000-5000 word essays lol. Well, that is how I've been feeling about updating the blog this week. I've just been in chill out mode. This past weekend I didn't do too much. On Saturday my supervisor took me to the recycle shop in his city about 10 minutes away. I bought a bed, a TV stand, a blender and a throw blanket all for about 18, 000 yen(approx. $150 CAD). Pretty good since the bed alone cost 15, 800 yen. Afterward, he took me to a temple that tells the story of the 47 samurai of Ako. It was very...wow I can't even think of a word to describe. The history of Japan is deeeeeeep! The rest of the weekend I relaxed at home, cooked, did laundry, cleaned, coloured my hair and watched movies. The lessons this week have been fun, my students are forever making me laugh with their little quirks. The first year students made conversation cards, an initiative taken on by Suzuki-sensei. The purpose of them is to have the students talk to me so that they can use their English. It's pretty cute and funny a the same time. It's like a conversation piece(like Stevie Wonder's album 'Conversation Peace'...get it? hahah I slay me)...sigh every tribute to him I can make I will make since I won't see him in Toronto on November 12, 2007 *weeping*

I just finished rearranging and cleaning my room (while listening to Damien 'Jr. Gong' Marley's "Welcome to Jamrock" album) in preparation for my bed delivery tomorrow. I can't wait!

I have news of a trip abroad on the horizon, but it hasn't hit me fully yet, so I will be back with details.
