Wedding update #1

Okay I'm years behind(relatively speaking) on updating this thing, so I'll try to precis the last week as best I can. The last time I wrote I woke up to Tamii and her sisters belting it out with the karaoke machine. Fast forward to Thursday evening, still caught up on karaoke we were running late for the rehearsal dinner in Spanish Town...According to the bride, this was our dry run for the wedding day and we weren't doing too well, but we were better than the previous day. We got there 45mins late, but somehow it still felt like we were on time LOL(especially since we still had to wait on someone). Rehearsal was actually fun, I caught nuff jokes trying to walk to the beat down the aisle with Andre[Angel's(the groom) brother]. After rehearsal, back at the ranch, Karen, Sacha and I helped Tamii as she packed for her honeymoon. Oh man, can you say funny! I laughed until I thought my belly was going to burst! I won't divulge all of Tams' business on here, but lets just say that we had our own episode of "What Not To Wear". Between the 3 of us, a few clothes were confiscated(from Tamii's hands) and put into what Sacha coined "The Birth Control Pile" hahahaha! Sorry Tams, I love you I really do, but you were being ridiculous! You can wear those things when you GET BACK from the honeymoon! Oh how I want to quote some of the things that she said, but she'd disown me! I think we were up until about 3am or something crazy, but we got the job done or at least the majority of it.

Friday was the beautification day. We went to Jencare Skinfarm spa on Old Hope Road. That place is niiiiiice! We had our manicures and pedicures done, went to the bank and then to the salons and yes...we were running late. I got dropped off at the Bob Marley museum to go to the "Just Natural hair salon". Why didn't I realize there was a salon on the grounds the 2 previous times I visited the museum? I love that place and I will go back...I got my hair washed, interlocked and styled for about $40 CAD! Crazy! I ate some Jerk BBQ chicken with rice and peas and pineapple juice from the Legend cafe on the grounds...deelish! After my hair was done I sat around for 2 hours b/c I knew we were tight on time so I didn't want to have anyone rushing for me...so I just walked around and took pictures and looked at the merchandise in the little shop. Mr. Smith picked me up later on and we headed back to the house. Karen and Sacha came in later on, followed by the rest of the family a little later. I think everyone was beat Friday night, but we kept trodding on. Tams did some last minute packing (the birth control pile was hidden) with Keri, Tessa and Mom's approval and I think we all went to bed at a decent hour....at least I know I knocked out early! This is getting long, so I'll write about the big day in another entry.
